Fees and Policies

Consultation is on appointment basis. Please book for a longer appointment if you have multiple or complex issues. Urgent medical cases will be seen as promptly as possible.

From the 1st of March 2023, Beenleigh Mall Medical Centre is changing to a mixed billing practice.
Standard consultation will incur a $40 out of pocket fee on weekdays and $50 out of pocket fee on weekends and public holidays.

Travel medicine, commercial licence medical, sports related medical, work related consults and insurance consults are privately billed, NOT covered by Medicare.

Work related consults can only be billed to work insurance or employer once there is an approved case claim number. Otherwise patients will need to pay privately and get refunded by their employer after getting an approved case claim number.

Immediate rebate available through easy claim for Medicare card holders with physical debit card.

We are bulk billing patients over 70 years old, 15 years old and under, pension and health care card holders and DVA card holder on Weekdays only.

For Weekend appointments, out of pocket fee is $50. Bulk billing for Pensioner, Concession card holders and children 15 and under.

Dr Sai Lu’s medical acupuncture appointments will be bulk billed.

Please contact our friendly reception staff regarding the fees related to your appointment or procedure if you have any questions.

Cancellation Policy

Missed or cancelled appointments with less than 2 hours’ notice will incur a fee of $50. No part of this fee can be claimed back from Medicare or private health funds. This fee needs to be paid prior to booking next appointment.

We understand that unplanned issues can come up and you may need to cancel an appointment. If that happens, we respectfully ask that scheduled appointments to be cancelled at least 4 hours in advance. For morning appointments this mean it needs to be cancelled on the day prior to the booked appointment.

This policy will enable our doctors to be available for the needs of all our patients. When a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
