Dr Nyi Nyi Hlaing

Dr Nyi Nyi Hlaing

MBBS, DCH, FRACGP
Dr Nyi Nyi Hlaing is a fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He completed his medical degree at University of Medicine, Mandalay, Burma (Myanmar). He did hospital training in Launceston, Tasmania and  worked as a GP in rural NSW before joining Beenleigh Mall Medical Centre in 2021. He looks forward to being able to provide all aspects of family medicine with special interests in paediatrics, ENT, skin lesions/dermatology, skin cancers, men’s health, chronic disease management, preventative medicine and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr Hlaing is known for his gentle approach with children. He performs skin excisions, Implanon removal and insertions, ingrown nail removals and various minor office procedures.

Dr Sai Khan Lu

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Sai Khan Lu was trained in Mandalay, central Burma. He migrated to Australia in 2007 and completed his GP training in Tasmania, rotating from Ulverstone to Hobart. He has worked in rural Tasmania as a locum then moved to Sydney before settling on the Gold Coast. He has specialist interest in general health, acupuncture ( Dr Sai does not do Laser Acupuncture ). and has worked as a ringside doctor for boxing matches in the past. He can speak English, Burmese and Shan (Tai ethnic).

Dr Chuck Fung

Dr. Chuck Fung Kong

MBBS (Monash), FRACGP

Chuck graduated from Monash University in 2005. His previous work experience includes general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, emergency and anaesthetics. Chuck worked in metropolitan Melbourne, interstates including Tasmania, Queensland and rural Victoria prior moving to Queensland in 2015. He enjoys general practice and he has special interest in chronic disease management, medical acupuncture, men’s health and travel medicine. Chuck speaks fluent mandarin.

Dr Chuck does zoledronic acid (Aclasta)infusion and iron infusion.

Dr. Eugene Lim

MBBS

Dr Eugene Lim graduated from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 2011, and since has gained diverse clinical experiences across multiple hospitals in Tasmania, Western Australia, and Queensland. For the last 7 years he has been working with Queensland Health, working recently in Emergency Medicine with Caboolture Hospital. With a solid foundation in clinical practice and a commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate care he has a broad understanding of various medical specialties. Dr Lim can speak multiple languages, including Mandarin and Malay, in addition to English. He joined Beenleigh Mall Medical Centre in 2024 as a RACGP Registrar.

Dr Lim does zoledronic acid (Aclasta) infusion and iron infusion.

Dr Michele Chua

MBBS

**Dr Michele Chua will be joining our Practice from 23rd July 2025.

Dr Michele Chua graduated from Bond University in 2014. She has worked at various hospital including Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina, QE2 and Logan Hospital before commencing her General Practice Training.

Having spent the past 7 years working in immigration health, gives unique insight, expertise and skills to support a diversity of cultures starting their next chapter in Australia.

She joined Beenleigh Mall Medical Centre in 2025 as an RACGP Registrar.

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga and Pilates & spending time with her family. Language spoken: English, Mandarin and conversational Cantonese.

 

Dr Thet Tun Aung

Dr Thet Tun Aung is a caring and dedicated General Practitioner with broad medical experience across Australia and overseas. After completing his MBBS in 2005, he worked in Myanmar and Jamaica before moving to Australia, where he gained valuable experience in emergency medicine, psychiatry, and rural practice. Now a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Dr Aung has a special interest in skin cancer medicine, having enrolled in the Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine with the Skin Cancer College of Australia. His main areas of focus include mental health, men’s health, skin cancer, and chronic disease management.

Known for his approachable manner and strong communication skills, Dr Aung is passionate about patient-centred care and values building long-term, trusted relationships with his patients. He will be relocating to Brisbane in October 2025, where he looks forward to continuing his commitment to providing high-quality, holistic healthcare.

 

Podiatrist – Mohammed Al Soudani

Hi, I’m Mohammed Al Soudani, a podiatrist dedicated to helping you stay active and pain-free. Since graduating in 2023, I’ve been committed to providing tailored care for every patient. My professional interests include biomechanics, diabetic foot care, sports podiatry, and managing common conditions like heel pain and ingrown toenails. I’m particularly passionate about keeping people moving—whether it’s athletes striving for peak performance or individuals seeking relief from everyday discomfort.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy cars and soccer, hobbies that bring balance and joy to my life.
